Annapurna & Chitwan
(14 Days, Hotels/Camping/Chitwan Jungle Lodge)
| The Kathmandu Valley, Chitwan, Gorkha and short luxury camping
trek in the Annapurnas |
You do not have to spend weeks trekking in Nepal to get a
true flavour of this fascinating and beautiful country. This itinerary
combines the country’s unique culture and history with a trek in the shadow
of the magnificent Annapurna Himal. Walking through picturesque villages,
forest and terraced hillsides our destination is Panchase Hill, an amazing
viewpoint from which you can watch a magnificent panorama of peaks appear in
the early morning light. Chitwan National Park is Nepal’s richest wildlife
habitat with Asian rhino and elusive Bengal tiger as well as hundreds of
varieties of birds. In Kathmandu there is time to explore the narrow
streets, temples, stupas and pagodas that give this city an almost mediaeval
atmosphere and for those who cannot visit Nepal without seeing Everest, an
optional mountain flight is available. Although we do not take children on
our normal group departures, this itinerary is ideal for families with
children of 8 years or older and we will run the Christmas family treks.
